This study conducts a systematic and visualized knowledge mapping analysis of existing literature on printing and dyeing in Guizhou from a quantitative perspective, aiming to provide insights for theoretical research and practical exploration in this field. Employing bibliometric methods, this paper objectively presents the research status, hotspots, and trends through a visual analysis of publication volume, research institutions, communication carriers and discourse development. The results indicate that research on printing and dyeing in Guizhou exhibits distinct phasic characteristics and an overall upward trend. There is a significant geographical correlation between research institutions and the regions where these crafts are practiced, with higher education institutions playing a dominant role. Key research hotspots include cultural connotations, artistic characteristics, inheritance, development, application, design innovation, and the role of the craft in rural revitalization. The number of high-frequency keywords has gradually increased with the diversification of research content, indicating a shift from a singular focus to comprehensive, multi-faceted coverage. The research has evolved from macro-discourse to micro-analysis, from basic theories to applied innovation, and from cultural protection to cultural industrialization. This trajectory demonstrates a trend towards greater depth, focus, and diversity. While current research has yielded significant theoretical and practical achievements, there remains an overall lack of interdisciplinary, systematic, and structured studies.
