With the development of society and the change of family structure, the scale of migrant population has been expanding, among which the proportion of elderly migrant population (old drifters) has increased significantly. They come to the foreign land only for the sake of taking care of their offspring, old-age support and other reasons, and face the lack of psychological identity and sense of belonging, with the sense of loneliness being intensified. Therefore, the work aims to propose the interactive interface design of social APPs based on the characteristics of emotional needs of the old drifters. Through questionnaire surveys, user interviews and case studies, a deeper understanding of the plight and needs of the old drifters is obtained, and the design methodology based on the discussion of three latitudes of perceptual experience, cognitive comprehension and operational convenience is summarized. A customized dating and interaction platform is designed specifically for the old drifters, which not only provides simple social functions, but also fully considers the special needs and psychological states of the old drifters, and demonstrates special features such as interest communities and AR recognition works, aiming to alleviate the emotional isolation of the old drifters and enhancing their social interaction, so as to realize spiritual pleasure and satisfaction.
