With the urbanization process in Guangdong, rural communities in Meizhou region are experiencing cultural impacts, leading to the gradual erosion of traditional culture due to shifts in cultural identity. At the same time, the traditional Hakka ancestral temple culture and the spaces that embody it are facing varying degrees of damage and oblivion. In response to the cultural challenges brought by urbanization, the work aims to revitalize ancestral temple cultural spaces through artistic empowerment from a "cultural confidence perspective" and to promote the transition of rural communities from "community art" to "artistic communities". In terms of research methodology, with the cultural spaces of the ancestral temple in Qiaoxiang Rural Community as a case study, the relationships between people and the "spatial, spiritual, and cultural" dimensions of Hakka ancestral temples are explored. By leveraging art as a bonding agent, corresponding strategies for the protection and innovative development of ancestral temple cultural spaces are proposed. This approach offers solutions for safeguarding ancestral temple cultural spaces, fostering the continuity of ancestral temple culture, and enhancing local cultural confidence. Furthermore, it contributes to strengthening cultural confidence in the construction of artistic communities in Guangdong, thereby playing a positive role in the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
