This paper explores the application advantages, realization paths and future development trends of artificial intelligence generated content (AIGC) technology in design of children's picture books. By analyzing the technical characteristics of AIGC and combining with the creation process of picture books, this paper systematically discusses the specific implementation methods of AIGC in text generation, character design, scene construction, visual language optimization and other aspects, and further discusses the design practice cases. Theoretical analysis and design practice show that AIGC can significantly improve the creation efficiency and quality of picture books, including the automatic generation of story lines, the assisted creation of character design, the enhancement of the richness of scenes and props, and the diversified switching of visual styles. It can also automatically generate simple picture books, but it needs to ensure the visual consistency of picture books and carry out effective post-manual debugging. AIGC technology brings transformational opportunities to design of picture books. It not only improves the creation efficiency, promotes the supply of multi-modal content, but also provides the possibility for non-professional creators to participate. This study provides theoretical support and empirical cases for understanding the role and potential of AI in creative industries, especially in the field of picture book creation.
