Design Strategies for Building Block Products Based on Generative Artificial Intelligence

Abstract

The development of generative artificial intelligence technology offers a brand-new innovative path for the interaction methods and content creation of building block products. The thorough study on its characteristics can provide more systematic design strategies for building block products. Firstly, from the three levels of thinking, knowledge, and action, the human-machine relationship in product design in the era of generative artificial intelligence is explored. Secondly, from a participatory perspective, a multi-dimensional analysis is conducted on building block design cases empowered by AI and further a design system framework for generative building block products is constructed, which includes three core elements of context space, problem space, and behavioral architecture. Finally, based on this framework, the product design strategies in three aspects of story creation, voice dialogue, and building block design are proposed to enhance the extensive participation of users in interacting with building blocks. The generative artificial intelligence can be combined to enhance the attractiveness and innovativeness of building block products, providing new possibilities for innovative design in the fields of education, entertainment, and art.
