The existing kettle product designs are becoming more and more homogenised, and both market needs and user demands are in dire need of emerging design concepts to stimulate the unchanging aesthetics. Based on the patriarchal foundation of the existing kettle product family imagery, the imagery of the kettle body is abstracted and collected. Through the narrative design method, the imagery elements are combined and derived, the correlation between narrative and kettle body design is analyzed, and ultimately the narrative design method is used to make the unchanging product family imagery burst out with more vitality and possibilities, so as to obtain more product design solutions to meet the needs of users. Through the combination of product family imagery and narrative design, designers can obtain more design inspiration and provide practical ideas for future product design.
