老年用户对智能出行APP的需求与依赖日益增强,但现有出行APP普遍存在适老化设计缺失,交互流程复杂、界面元素冗余等问题,从而加重老年用户使用过程中的认知负荷,降低使用意愿。因此,聚焦老年用户使用出行APP的认知与行为机制展开研究,提出界面适老化设计策略。以认知负荷理论(CLT)和技术接受模型(TAM)为理论基础,将内在、外在及相关认知负荷作为潜变量,构建老年用户出行APP使用意愿影响因素模型,检验变量间因果关系与中介效应,采用偏最小二乘法结构方程模型(PLS-SEM)进行实证检验。结果表明,外在认知负荷对感知易用性具有显著负向影响,内在认知负荷对感知有用性呈现显著负向作用,相关认知负荷对感知有用性具有显著正向影响;各因素中,感知易用性对老年用户使用意愿的影响最为显著。通过减少界面冗余信息与菜单层级、强化文字提示与语音交互、提升界面视觉清晰度与操作一致性等具体策略,可有效降低老年用户认知负荷、提升使用意愿。研究成果为老龄社会背景下移动出行应用的适老化设计提供了理论支撑与实践指引。
Abstract
With the growing demand for and reliance on intelligent travel APPs among elderly users, existing travel APPs generally lack age-friendly design, featuring complex interaction processes and redundant interface elements, increasing the cognitive load of elderly users during use and reducing their usage intention. Therefore, focusing on the cognitive and behavioral mechanisms of elderly users when using travel APPs, the work aims to propose age-friendly interface design strategies. Based on the Cognitive Load Theory (CLT) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), intrinsic, extraneous, and germane cognitive loads are taken as latent variables to construct a model of factors influencing elderly users' usage intention of travel APPs. The causal relationships and mediating effects among variables are tested, and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) is adopted for empirical verification. The results show that extraneous cognitive load has a significantly negative impact on perceived ease of use, intrinsic cognitive load exerts a significantly negative effect on perceived usefulness, and germane cognitive load has a significantly positive influence on perceived usefulness. Among all factors, perceived ease of use has the most prominent impact on elderly users' usage intention. Specific strategies such as reducing redundant interface information and menu levels, strengthening text prompts and voice interaction, and improving interface visual clarity and operational consistency can effectively reduce the cognitive load of elderly users and enhance their usage intention. This work provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the age-friendly design of mobile travel APPs in the context of an aging society.
